Debby Johnson, RD, LD, CDE is Fit4D’s Senior Clinical Director. Debby has both personal and professional experience in pediatrics, adults, pregnancy, and insulin pump therapy. She has lived with type 1 diabetes since the age of 10, and has encountered many experiences along her diabetes journey which give her a unique perspective when helping others learn how to live with diabetes. She is a graduate of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Allied Health Sciences School and has been practicing dietetics, specializing in diabetes, since 2001. Debby has worked with patients in hospitals, delivered customized nutrition programs and provided insulin pump training. Debby also holds a Certification in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management. During the summer, Debby is the camp dietitian for Camp Sweeney in Gainesville, Texas, setting up meal plans and providing nutrition lectures to campers with diabetes.
