Capzule PHR is an app that allows patients to store and maintain health records for themselves and up to 30 family members.

This is a great tool to have, especially for those with chronic illness or maybe a caregiver to a family member. For each profile, the information you can input includes the following: healthcare provider and other emergency contacts; upcoming appointments; family, medical, and social history; all current medications; vitals, lab results flow sheets, and self-monitoring parameters. You can also add in other notes and attach documents from other devices or sources. Even more is that you can create a summary document. These are just some of the many features. All information can be password protected and backed up in another location.

Although this app seems fairly solid, there are almost no downloads and feedback yet on the web. It’s free though so it patients want to check it out, it may be worth a try. Still you may want to point them in the direction of more established programs such as My Medical.
