Welchol Suspension Works in Fruit Juices, Diet Soda

Daiichi Sankyo has received U.S. regulatory approval for a new formulation of its diabetes drug Welchol. This new suspension can be mixed with fruit juice and diet soft drinks  The drug lowers blood sugar and LDL cholesterol in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is the only drinkable diabetes medication that lowers both measures, according to the company.
