AdhereTech has created patented cloud-connected pill bottles that improve medication adherence. These bottles measure the exact number of pills or liquid in the bottle in real-time, wirelessly send this data into the cloud, and remind patients to take their medication via phone call or text. The devices solicit feedback in order to combat all drivers of non-adherence. In addition to increasing adherence, the bottles record and send granular data that, until now, has only been collected in trials – never before in the real world. Randomized Controlled Trials with the product will begin at The Walter Reed Medical Center using type 2 diabetes meds.
