We depend on our interns to help us bring you the best in diabetes news and information, and a lot of times when I look at all they have to learn, it amazes me. There is so much more to being a pharmacist now than when Steve and I went to school. As I point out to my interns, “Can you imagine how much easier school would be if you didn’t have to learn about cytochrome p450?”

I sometimes think that these young adults may actually be a little nutty when they make the decision to enroll in school. And speaking of nuts, this week, our current PharmD Candidate Clarke Powell, who just this week welcomed into the world a beautiful new baby daughter, prepared an analysis on some recent research on eating more and more nuts to help reduce glycemic excursions, glucose blood levels, and cardiovascular disease risk.
