Dalia Elabed, PharmD Candidate, University of South Florida, and Kandarp Mehta, MS, PharmD Candidate, University of Colorado, spent a lot of time the past two weeks focused on the SGLT-2, canagliflozin. They reviewed multiple studies, including DAPA-HF, EMPEROR-REDUCED, SOLOIST-WHF, CANVAS and CANVAS-R, to put together two very concise articles on the cardiovascular and renal benefits in heart failure (Laterpay) and the reduction of hospitalizations in patients with diabetes.
