There is no doubt that recording your activity will cause you to try harder. Although I ride the same route with our bike club almost every day, I look to see if I set any new times for the multiple segments we have mapped out.
Most cyclists use an app called Strava, and it is often said, “if it isn’t on Strava, you didn’t do it.”
Fitbits, Apple Watches and multiple other devices are available for our patients with diabetes to help them record — and hopefully increase — their activity. But do these devices actually make a difference? Our intern Emmanuella Louissaint, PharmD candidate, LECOM College of Pharmacy, has looked through various studies to come up with an answer.
