I have recently been cycling with some insulin pump patients, and they often complain about their problems with fluctuating glucose levels, before, during, and after they ride. We have tried many fixes and changes to see if we can control the fluctuations, but there does not seem to be a consistent solution. When I discussed this with Dr. Sheri Colberg, PhD, she decided to prepare an in-depth article on what the causes and solutions might be.
