When you live with an adult with type 1 diabetes, it is natural to look for ways to make glucose levels better and management easier. Usually this means trying medications that are not indicated for type 1 diabetes. Researchers often do the same thing with hopes that the results will lead to an FDA approved indication for type 1 patients.

This week Macrina Ghali, our PharmD Candidate from FAMU College of Pharmacy, has the results of a study done by Dr. John Buse and others that could be good enough to cause the FDA to add another drug to the type 1 arsenal, in our Laterpay feature.

We can make a difference!
