Happy New Year to all of you from all of us here at Diabetes In Control.
This is the time of year that most of our patients get back to taking care of themselves. They have put away the decorations and wrapping paper, finished off the holiday leftovers and are ready to start on their New Year’s resolutions. This is also when many of our patients get new health insurance and find out that they have to change clinicians, new formularies have gone into effect and drugs will have to be changed. Healthcare will be on top of the minds of some of our newest legislators as we go through 2011 with the potential for even more change by the end of the year.
We will continue to bring you the most important information in Diabetes Research and Care for 2011. A lot is going on with new products as well as new methods for prevention, therapy and the treatment of complications. Our feature this week is a brief summary of some of the best of 2010.
