Have you ever heard of a fast fat metabolizer? Typically, people who eat a low carb diet do not have as much glucose in their bodies as carb consumers, and so they more often have to rely on the breakdown of fats to supply energy for activities. Because of this ability to metabolize fat, many athletes believe that Carb Loading has a big impact on performance, especially if it is an endurance exercise.

This week, Dr. Sheri Colberg takes a look at this strategy for euglycemic as well as hyperglycemic patients, and shares her research on carb loading, exercise and diabetes.
