Leyany Feijoo Ramos, PharmD Candidate, LECOM School of Pharmacy, is considering a residency in infectious medicine, which would put her in the forefront of COVID-19 research and treatment. She recently put together an overview of how diabetes and increased glucose levels in non-diagnosed diabetes patients can increase the patients’ chances of dying from an infection.

The information she is sharing will make you think twice about giving a patient time to fix their glucose before you begin aggressive therapy.
