We have all seen the studies that show that both the GLP-1 analogs and SGLT-2 inhibitors are benificial for reducing the incidence of heart disease in patients with diabetes, and many of the drugs in each class can actually make that claim in literature and out in the field. Now one of these classes, along with the DPP4-Inhibitors, when used with metformin has been shown to improve intrahepatic lipids and NAFLD.
