A friend of mine has a couple of cats and according to her, they like me a lot because they always are licking me. The problem is their tongues are like sandpaper, and I get free dermabrasion every time I visit.

When it comes to humans we usually don’t pay much attention to our tongues, but the color and the “fur” could be used as a diagnostic tool for diabetes.

This week Kassey James, Pharm.D.Candidate, LECOM School of Pharmacy, looks at how tongue color and fur level can be an indicator of diabetes.
