This is the last week that Emma Kammerer, L|E|C|O|M Bradenton School of Pharmacy, PharmD Candidate will be with us on her rotation. One of the topics we discussed was how to preserve beta cell function by starting aggressive management from day one.

Like many pharmacists she was somewhat surprised by this no holds barred method, and I challenged her to find others who have done the same thing.

This week she has a new article that looks at why this aggressive approach has long term effects.
