I was watching a commercial for a new whitening tooth paste and the whole focus of the commercial was that it made your teeth whiter and everyone liked you better. There was not a single thing mentioned about cavity prevention or gum care.
At first I felt the whole premise of the commercial was bogus, but then it hit me — it doesn’t really matter how we get our patients to improve their oral heath; it is only important that they do!
