The agency will likely follow the advisory committee’s advice when it decides whether to approve the drugs, alirocumab (Praluent) from Sanofi SA and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., and evolocumab (Repatha) from Amgen Inc., for patients later this summer.They are especially good for people who cannot take statins due to their side effects.
