Sotera Wireless, Inc. has announced that the FDA has cleared its patented continuous non-invasive blood pressure (cNIBP) technology. The ViSi Mobile System is the first wrist-worn monitor to measure core patient vital signs: cNIBP, heart rate, electrocardiogram, blood oxygenation level, respiration rate, and skin temperature. Through ViSi Mobile’s wireless technology the vital signs data is transmitted to clinicians for remote viewing or to notification devices. Also, safety features such as an advanced alarm management can alert clinicians of negative changes in a patient’s condition.
