Insulin and Symlin Combo Studied

Scientists will mix insulin with Symlin to see if the combination injection works as well at controlling blood sugar levels as separately injected doses of the therapies. One of the biggest barriers to regular control of blood-sugar levels in diabetes patients is an inconsistent treatment regimen due in part to a larger number of injections, doctors say. Fewer shots can translate into better disease management.
