In a recent report, scientists presented an analysis revealing that walnuts contain what can be considered the optimal blend of superior-quality antioxidants when compared to all other tree and ground nuts. A handful of walnuts contain almost twice as many antioxidants as an equivalent amount of any other commonly consumed nut. Unfortunately, people don’t eat a lot of them. The study suggests that consumers eating more walnuts as part of a healthy diet. Presented at the American Chemical Society Meeting April, 2011
