Letter from the Editor #500

Dec 20, 2009

Today marks a milestone as Steve and I offer you Issue 500! For almost 10 years we have been providing you with the best in diabetes news, products and tools. We have grown from a newsletter for 26 pharmacists to a source of news for over 115,000 medical professionals in every discipline in over 84 countries. We could not have done it without you, our readers. Over the years you have offered suggestions on how we could make our newsletter and website better, and many of you have shared articles, insights and tools that we have been able to share with all our subscribers. As we begin to work on the next 500 issues we are happy to let you know that we will be adding more and better content, as well as special editions and opportunities for you to continue to improve care for your diabetes patients.

One of our most popular writers, Sheri Colberg, Ph.D., FACSM, joins us for one last time this year to clarify whether Low-Carb Eating Compromises Your Ability to Exercise. This week’s feature will really benefit your low-carb eating insulin dependent patients because it explains why they may not be getting enough carbs.
