Study Links Flavonoids to Healthy Aging In Women

According to researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, middle-aged women have an improved likelihood of healthy aging with a flavonoid-rich diet. They followed more than 13,800 women through a 15-year period. The women who noted eating more flavonoid-rich foods, such as those found in citrus fruits, dark chocolate, berries, lentils, green and white teas, red wine, onions, apples and parsley, were more likely to exhibit healthy aging for both physical and mental health. — The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Dec 2014
