Formula II Skin Care Cream
Experience Survey

David Joffe, R.Ph, CDE, FACA
Study Coordinator

In a 60 day feedback survey conducted by Diabetes in Control for MSI, medical professionals enrolled 46 patients in 11 locations and these patients used Formula II Skin Care Cream, an over the counter all purpose skin care cream with a variety of health uses, topically.

Formula II Skin Care Cream is unique because Mineral Oil is 50% of the compound. MSI claims that this high percentage of mineral oil aids in the healing of severe dry skin. Formula II also contains a combination of three waxes – beeswax, paraffin and ceresin, which enables the cream to form a barrier over the affected area. This allows the area to be protected from further irritation while the healing process is occurring. Formula II has a consistency that is heavier than a lotion, so the application of the product is easy and precise.

Each of the medical professionals had their patients answer questions in a 2 month survey. The total results are seen as below. (See table 1-1)

Results of this study indicate a high level of patient benefit and satisfaction. In addition the patients that had compromised skin areas reported increased healing and less bleeding.

In addition 94% of the respondents indicated they would definitely like to continue to use this product, and 92% would definitely recommend it to others.
