Sept. 17, 2016

There have been a lot of ideas over the years about making a prodrug to deliver insulin. Most of the attention has been focused on making an oral insulin. Each year we move closer, and just a few weeks ago we had information on our website about the newest of these products. Typically we think of insulin as a hormone that simply moves the glucose from the bloodstream into the cells. However, insulin has a direct effect on the cells in the liver, and this week our publisher shares an exclusive interview he had with Robert Geho, CEO of Diasome, as he describes what hepatocytes do and how mixing them with insulin can improve diabetes care.

We can make a difference!
