This week 2 of our interns, Mit Suthar and Mia Flowers, bring us two article that are intertwined. Dr. Flowers starts us off by looking at the value of short periods (1-2 minutes) of moderate exercise and the long term benefits in reducing Cardiovascular Complications in our diabetes patients. Then Dr. Suthar has a very interesting take on the value of pay for performance programs for patients.
If you read these two as one as I did, you quickly realize that if we paid for the steps taken per minute by our patients, we would more than likely have found a combination to reward patients for staying healthy. Read both of these articles and let me know if you agree with me.
