Letter from the Editor
This week our intern, Antonio Bess, PharmD. Candidate, Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University School of Pharmacy, has looked over recent data on the correlation between diabetes and cancer risk. He offers some insights on how cancer risk is related to diabetes, how a diabetes diagnosis increases your patient’s likelihood of developing cancer, and how some medications can reduce that risk.
The one interesting thing I found from reading this article was that patients with diabetes are checked for cancers less than their euglycemic friends and neighbors. Makes absolutely no sense to me!
