New Product

 

The system currently under development is an external pump for subcutaneous injection of insulin for diabetes care. The insulin pump is based on Debiotech's Chronojet micropump chip. The Injection Pump is light and miniaturized and can be directly taped onto the skin. The Injection Pump is operated and programmed through the Remote Control Device.

Debiotech S.A. in Lausanne, Switzerland, is developing a new insulin pump thin enough to be taped directly onto the skin together with the soft infusion set. Johnson & Johnson says that through its purchase of Inverness Medical Technology it will gain rights to the Debiotech technology, which will be used to develop the pump
