    Gynazole 1

It is a one-dose cream for yeast infections called Gynazole 1.  It has a bioadhesivetechnology and remains adhered to the vaginal vault 4 to 7 days. You can take it day or night as leakage is minimal.  UnlikeDiflucan, Gynazole 1 is great for people With diabetes as there are no drug Interactions.


  KV Pharmaceutical Company announced that it has received approval from the FDA to fill, package and market Gynazole-1™ (butoconazole nitrate 2% vaginal cream), a prescription product that is designed to treat vaginal yeast infections with only one dose.

Approximately 75 percent of women in the U.S. experience at least one episode of vulvovaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infection) in their lifetime and 45 percent of these women will suffer a second episode. In fact 10 percent of all visits to Ob/Gyn's are for vaginal infections.

Other cream products are associated with messy leakage and are therefore, often recommended to be used at bedtime. The KV product uses only 2 percent of active drug and employs KV's patented VagiSite® drug delivery technology. The KV product has been proven in clinical studies to be bioadhesive, and to remain in the vaginal vault for 4.2 days. The KV product is provided in a pre-filled applicator and may be applied any time of the day or night.
