Increases confidence and reduces pain

PenMate® - taking the unpleasantness out of self injection, the PenMate hides the needle during the entire process.

PenMate is specifically developed to help people with needle phobia.
Hiding the needle during injection, PenMate helps boost confidence by reducing pain perception and focusing your mind away from the needle.
As the PenMate is designed to make injection easier it is also very helpful for newly diagnosed children with diabetes and those with type 2 diabetes who are new to taking insulin.  The cap slides over the NovoPen 3, covering the needle, and a spring-activated button on the PenMate automatically inserts the needle when pressed against the skin.  There’s no need to pinch up the skin before the injection.  If the needle has been successfully inserted, a hite line becomes visible at the top of the insuliun scale.  NovoPen 3 uses PenFill 3 ml insuliun cartridges and Novofine 30 or 31 needles, which are 6mm and 8 mm long, respectively.  It was FDA-approved in March and expected on the market by the end of the year.
