Diabetes research can be a very fickle world at times. Over the years we have heard of many “cures” for type 1 diabetes. Most of the time the discoverer is someone not well known in the diabetes community and the work is dismissed as pie in the sky. This kind of judgement may also affect how and when some of our most well respected researchers will participate in endorsing new ideas. This week we are fortunate to have information on a possible new cure for humans that has worked well in mice.

What makes this all the more impressive is that the researcher is without a doubt one of the most respected in the world.

To find out who he is and what his solution is, be sure to read article #4.

We can make a difference!
