It is interesting that with all the medications we have for diabetes we often overlook the hypoglycemic effects. This is because we have moved away from the sulfonylureas, as they were always the ones that got blamed. This has opened many of our patients up to hypoglycemic effects from newer medications because we no longer stress the fear of low glucose levels.

This week Steve Freed sits down with Dr. Swapnil N. Rajpathak as he shares his insights into the use of one of the newer medications and the reduction of hypoglycemic risk.
