A couple of weeks ago we had a new product blurb about Cycloset™, an old drug with a new indication for diabetes. Many of you wrote to ask me for information on how the medication works and where the idea came from. I had our current PharmD candidate, Robert Fredenrich, do some additional research for you. Click here to read Birds, Migration and Diabetes.

Later this week we will be at the 69th Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association. We will be looking for new research on diabetes, medications and devices. According to the preliminary program there is going to be a lot of information on diabetes care in the hospital and primary care practice. We will also be trying to sort through the loads of expected data on tight control in the ICU. Be sure to check our ADA wrap up next week.
