June 11, 2016

dave

Steve and I just got to New Orleans in time for the opening of the ADA Scientific Sessions, and already it looks like we are going to garner a lot of diabetes information in a short amount of time. As I was working on ideas for reporting, I noticed that there are over 2,100 poster presentations, with over 150 on the SGLT-2 Inhibitors alone. We figured there would be a lot of buzz due to the positive heart effects of Jardiance, and it looks like the others will be following suit. There is also some information on implantable sensors, and this concept got a real push this week as the European Union approved the first implantable sensor (see item 4). The interesting thing is that they are not even a company you have heard of. We are looking forward to getting to the thought leaders in all these categories, and getting the inside scoop that only we at Diabetes In Control can.
