Who
doesn’t love something for free? When it’s a whole bag of
free goodies, designed especially for newly diagnosed diabetes patients,
and it’s brimming with useful trial size product samples, it’s
even better, right? This year the Dialogue Company proudly announces
a major expansion to the latest edition of our Patient Education Program
roster, Diabetes Outlook™.
Diabetes Outlook is a specialized education program that is available
completely free of charge, exclusively to diabetes educators and health
care professionals. (Unfortunately, the program is not available directly
to patients. But patients can request a Diabetes Outlook education kit
through their diabetes care team.) Each kit is a wonderful educational
gift that contains product samples, coupons, and educational literature.
They also include a complete, easy to read Patient Education Guide,
written and reviewed by leaders in the field of diabetes education,
which becomes a valuable teaching guide for newly diagnosed patients,
who are just learning to cope with their disease. Furthermore, the program
also includes yearly educational panels and specialized teaching materials.
The Dialogue Company has been offering patient education kits through
Diabetes Outlook’s sister program, Cardiac Directions®, since
1993. “Diabetes Outlook is a natural extension of our patient
education programs due to the growing awareness about the common conditions
between cardiovascular disease and diabetes,“ says Gina Lindell,
Assistant Marketing Manager. “Trial size samples give the diabetes
patient a great opportunity to try selected diabetic products for free,
which can help to promote the healthy lifestyle changes they are trying
to accomplish,” says Lindell.
The Dialogue Company has partnered with the American Heart Association.
Information is included on both of our patient education kit bags about
“The Heart of Diabetes: Understanding Insulin Resistance”,
which is a national education and awareness campaign targeting people
with type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and related cardiovascular
risks.
The Diabetes Outlook Program is currently being distributed to patients
through over 1,500 diabetes professionals nationwide. Kits are delivered
pre-packed, directly to the healthcare professional’s office door,
in quantities that match their patient numbers, so that every patient
will be assured of receiving a kit. Here is what Diabetes Educators
are saying about the Diabetes Outlook Program:
