After many
months of negotiations with potential marketing partners,
Aerogen was not been able to secure a partner and therefore
has decided to halt the development program for inhaled insulin.

Lilly Confirms Shortage of Glucagon Kits!
On April 25, 2003, Eli Lilly customer service confirmed
that they are experiencing a continued shortage of
their Glucagon Emergency Kit due to manufacturing problems.
They hope to have the problem resolved by June 15,
2003. Patients needing a kit should have their pharmacist
phone 1-800-545-5979 to get the product shipped. If
you are unable to get a Lilly glucagon kit, you can
get the similar Novo Nordisk product, marketed as GlucaGen
and distributed in the US by Bedford Laboratories (Bedford,
OH, 1-800-562-4797).
