From
The Editor's Desk:
The
response to our feature on a possible cure has been Awesome; we had
hundreds of requests for more information over 1000 new subscribers.
Thanks for getting the word out.
We can make a difference.
As
I reviewed the material for Part 2 ,“THE
CURE FOR DIABETES? Or Too Good to be True!”,
and read comments from our readers I was reminded of something I
learned from an old pharmacy professor.
This professor, who
actually developed the antacid Gelusil, told me “If we get a grant
from a government agency or a charity you can bet the chances of the
idea actually working are small and far in the future, however if a
pharmaceutical company gives you some cash then it’s a good bet it’s
close to being real”
Part
2 delves into the reason INGAP is the most logical method
and why big pharma has decided to participate. There is also contact
information for possible participation in the trials.
“Tools
for Your Practice”
this weeks has some great information on how businesses can participate
in helping their employees with diabetes. Medical Professionals can use
this to begin servicing these businesses.
This
weeks overview: Item#1
has the results for the first group of children that were diagnosed with
Type 2 diabetes and are grown up. Item#2
has some interesting info on a new possible way to monitor blood sugars
without sticking yourself. Item
#10 lets us know about a new test that can measure the
degree of kidney failure. Find out in item #13 which carbohydrates, according
to an EU funded study, are best if you want to loose weight,
Simple or Complex.
Choice
Award Update: Last week

New

findings
show
millions
adults
in
the
US
cannot

Dr.

,
those
who

Indeed,
the
