This week, Dr. Hirsch discusses the unexplainable highs, known as silent occlusions, that some patients using pumps may experience. According to one study about two-thirds of patients experienced at least one silent occlusion over a three-month period, with no identifiable cause. Dr. Hirsch discusses the benefit of the new infusion set to combat this issue and how the product may also help the artificial pancreas.
