High Protein Snacks Curb Teens Hunger

Adolescents aged 13 to 19 who had normal weight or were overweight and who ate high-protein soy snacks in the afternoon consumed less dietary fat and showed improvements in cognitive function and mood, researchers say. The findings indicate that "eating high-protein snacks in the afternoon helps teens improve the quality of their diets as well as control appetite," researcher Heather Leidy says.
