Upon opening, this application prompts the user to enter personal information e.g. date of birth, gender, weight, and weight loss goals.

The home screen shows how many calories are needed to meet weight loss goals. The application has food, fitness, and weight tabs to input daily information. Also in the bottom left corner it has an inspirational quote of the day. The food tab allows your patients to track their calories, and this app has over one million foods in its database. The fitness tab allows the user to track the amount of calories burned per exercise selected. The weight tab relies on the user to input their weight and then the program will give graphs to show weight fluctuations.
Overall Impressions from Around the Web:
Positive reviews for the SparkPeople website but apparently there are some technical glitches with the relatively new iPad app and upgrade which the SparkPeople have hopefully fixed by now.
