21, 28, 30, 90. What do these numbers mean? For many of us they are the number of days before leftover insulin has to be thrown away. As a pharmacist it often amazes me what patients think they should do. If you need the quick answer for your patients be sure to check out this week’s tool.

This is the time of year when many patients succumb to holiday food. In addition, the extra activities around the season can wreak havoc with normal exercise and activity. With that in mind, we are happy to have Dr. Avni Mahiji join us to explain how best to avoid these hazards.
