Cook This, Not That! is a portable cookbook for those who love to eat, but do not want to deal with the unhealthy consequences such as weight gain.
It turns some of the foods that you find in American restaurants into healthier and cheaper alternatives. Recipes are organized by meal type. Each recipe gives you an illustration and description of the dish, the ingredients you will need in which you can add to the grocery list incorporated into the app, and instructions on preparing the dish. However, the recipes seem to have limited nutritional information (it only provides the calories, total and saturated fat, and sodium). It would be nice if it also include carbohydrates, protein, and fiber just to name some. There are also a limited number of recipes, and since the application is not free, I would like to see more recipes added in any future updates. The app does give you an idea of how much you will spend to prepare the meal by providing the cost per serving.
Overall Impressions from Around the Web:
Some users report that they find this app invaluable but others report that the app is not yet as well-developed as it could be especially in terms of the limited number of recipes.
