I. That the use of a beta blocker (atenelol) and an ACE inhibitor (captopril) are equally effective in lowering blood pressure in patients with Type 2 diabetes.
II. A decrease in A1c of 0.9 % could decrease the risk of microvascular complications by 25 %
III. The use of insulin and sulfonylureas do not have adverse cardiovascular effects
