Dr. Martha Funnell, MS, RN, CDE, Michigan Diabetes Research & Training Center, is a Research Investigator, Department of Medical Education; Co-Director, Behavioral, Clinical and Health Systems Research Core of the MDRTC Research Investigator, Department of Medical Education; Co-Director, Behavioral, Clinical and Health Systems Research Core of the MDRTC; and Adjunct Lecturer, School of Nursing. Her research interests include: patient empowerment, diabetes self-management education and support, chronic care, and patient-centered care.
