Editor's Note: CDC Slides, ADA/PDR Wrap-up, and More

Last week I was working on a presentation for the ASCP mid-year meeting and needed some up-to-date graphs on the incidence of diabetes in the US. Our publisher, Steve Freed, came across the CDC 2011 diabetes report and it was exactly the data I needed. He has put together this week's Homerun Slides to share this important information: these slides will be ones to use in your best presentations this year.

When we think of neuropathy we usually think of feet and hands, and pain and numbness, but neuropathy strikes in other areas as well. Erectile Dysfunction is a good example of one of the complications of diabetic neuropathy that we often overlook. This week we finish up our series of ADA/PDR: Medications for the Treatment of Diabetes excerpts, adapted by Matthew Szabo, PharmD Candidate, University of Florida, with the best ways to treat this form of neuropathy.

Our Disaster Averted this week highlights the fact that, in some cases, the more frequently a patient has to repeat a technique, the more likely they will make errors....
