Animas buys rights to new concept for diabetes pump technology is under development. Unlike the usual pump that is about the size of a large pager and is worn, for example, on a belt, a Swiss company (Debiotech S.A.) is working on an insulin pump device that is so small (about the size of a credit card) that it can be taped to the skin. And can be programmed from a special wrist watch. The device is pictured below.
