Younger and Older are two words that have a lot to do with the psychological effects of diabetes. We are all seeing patients being diagnosed at a Younger age, and these patients experience more problems as they become Older, due to the years of diabetes. This length of disease can wreak havoc on our patients, and the burden of living with the knowledge that this disease will never be going away can overwhelm the strongest people.

The effects of this stress can be seen in our Disaster Averted, and we offer real solutions in Part 2 of our Clinical Text on the Psychological Aspects of Diabetes.

Even our video interview with Dr. Larry Hirsch looks at a problem that stresses many pump-using patients.
